An office team movie outing: which Rosae theater fits 8+ guests
A short comparison of COMET, COSMOS, and STELLAR for groups of eight to fifteen.
Your team needs a break. Not a stuffy off-site in some convention hall, but a genuinely fun afternoon where everyone can relax, eat decent food, and actually enjoy each other's company—without the awkwardness of forced trust falls. A private theatre is exactly that. At Rosae in Koramangala, we've watched office teams discover that a three-hour slot in a locked-down screening room with snacks and no interruptions somehow makes colleagues laugh like they haven't in months.
If you're coordinating a team outing and your group is up to 8 people, you've got three strong choices: COMET for smaller teams (up to 6), FUTURA (up to 7), and COSMOS for groups up to 8. Here's how to pick the one that works for your crowd. And if your team is bigger than 8—read on for how to handle that.
COMET: The intimate choice for up to 6
COMET fits 6 people comfortably. It's 120-inch 4K with Dolby surround sound and a recliner setup—the kind where people actually settle back and relax instead of perching on the edge of a hard chair for three hours.
At around Rs 1,550 per slot, you're looking at roughly Rs 260 per head for a team of 6. Add in a snack order (popcorn, candy, cold drinks—the theatre's supply is solid), and you're still under Rs 310 per person. That's cheaper than a decent team lunch.
The psychology here matters: a smaller room feels intimate enough that the team actually talks before and after the movie. You're not in a cavernous space where people get lost. For finance teams, engineering standups, or client-facing groups who want to bond without it feeling forced, COMET hits the mark.

FUTURA: The middle ground for up to 7
FUTURA seats 7 and gives you a bit more breathing room than COMET. Same 120-inch 4K screen, Dolby surround sound, and a sofa setup. At around Rs 1,650 per slot, you're at roughly Rs 235 per head for 7 people—a sweet spot for mid-sized teams.
FUTURA is where we see product teams and marketing squads land. It's roomy enough that no one feels cramped, but intimate enough that the space still feels yours. The Android TV means you're not locked into cinema content either—stream a sports match, YouTube highlights, your company playlist, or an actual film. One engineering team did a "worst commits of 2026" retrospective followed by a movie. That flexibility is underrated for office outings.
COSMOS: The largest room for up to 8
COSMOS is the biggest we've got—it seats up to 8 people. It's 120-inch 4K, Dolby surround sound, and a proper setup with recliner plus comfy sofa. At around Rs 1,546 per slot, you're at roughly Rs 193 per head for 8 people, making it the best per-person value.
COSMOS is where we see close-knit teams go. Marketing teams, product groups, sales squads that already know each other—they book COSMOS, settle in, and it feels like an event. The extra space means introverts don't feel squeezed, and everyone gets to sprawl a bit.

What if your team is bigger than 8?
Here's the honest answer: the largest private theatre room we have seats 8. If your team is 9 or more, you've got two real options:
- Split into two sessions. Book two slots back-to-back (e.g., 10am–1pm and 1–4pm) with COSMOS and another theatre. The total cost is higher, but the experience is better—smaller groups actually interact more.
- Contact us. We can explore custom arrangements, back-to-back bookings across theatres, or help you figure out what works for your group size. Email or call the booking team at rosae.in/theaters.
Don't try to squeeze 12 people into a room meant for 8. It won't be fun.
How to make it actually work
Pick your timing. Morning slots (10am–1pm, 1–4pm) are quiet—you can talk freely, eat, nobody else's movie will bleed through the walls. Late afternoon (4–7pm) is borderline; evening slots get loud. Office teams almost always want 10am or 1pm, because it's off the regular work day but not so late that people bail early.
Bring real snacks, not just theatre candy. Yes, Rosae has popcorn and drinks. Order the popcorn if you want—it's solid. But most teams we see bring samosas, pav bhaji, or pizza—something that feels like celebration, not a concession stand. A quick message to the team: "We're ordering from XYZ at 1:30pm, come hungry."
Don't make it a four-hour thing. Your slot is 3 hours. Movie is maybe 2 to 2.5 hours. Leave room for eating, talking, and people arriving late. If your team is smaller or you want a shorter event, just watch the first hour of a film or a TED Talk, not a full movie. You'd be surprised how many office teams spend 80 minutes just sitting, talking, and eating—the movie is almost secondary.
Decorations are optional, not required. Some teams add a banner and balloons for a team birthday. Most just show up, press play, and relax. The privacy and the screen and the snacks are the novelty—you don't need confetti.
Content clarity. Make sure whoever's booking knows what you're watching. If it's a film, great. If it's a YouTube compilation, sports footage, or a company video, mention it when you reserve. The theatre staff won't bat an eye—they're used to teams doing non-movie things.
Logistics: Parking and access
Rosae is in Koramangala, central enough that most Bangalore teams can make it in 20 minutes without fighting traffic too hard. Parking is street-side; budget 10 minutes for that. The walk to the theatre is about 100 meters. If you've got people commuting from Whitefield or Indiranagar, start your timings 15 minutes earlier than you think you need to.
FAQ
How far in advance do we need to book? For weekday slots (10am, 1pm, 4pm), usually 3–5 days is fine. Weekends book faster. If your team has a fixed date in mind, nail it down two weeks ahead.
Can we bring alcohol? No outside alcohol, and Rosae doesn't have a bar either. Some teams get beer or wine from outside and drink before the slot, which is fine—just no bottles going into the theatre. Check with the booking team for current policy.
What if people want to leave early? Totally fine. The slot is yours either way. Some people will dip out early; others will stay after the movie ends and chat. No penalty.
What if our team is bigger than 8? Contact the Rosae booking team. We can help with split sessions, back-to-back slots, or other solutions. Don't try to fit 10+ people into one room—it won't work.
